The library reports ‘medium changer not responding’ to the backup application. The SLC (SL Console — Oracle’s embedded web UI) confirms a SCSI controller fault. We diagnose to the controller card or SCSI ribbon cable and replace the failing component.
A cold start causes the robot to lose its calibration reference. Root cause: X-axis or Y-axis stepper motor issue, or a dirty/failed calibration sensor. We clean the sensor track, re-run the SLC calibration sequence, and verify across a full slot inventory.
SCSI parity error messages appear in the SLC log during backup jobs. Root cause: sled connector pin damage from repeated drive swaps, or a parity-check firmware bug triggered by a specific drive-firmware version. We repair or replace the sled and re-flash drive firmware as needed.
The SLC embedded web service crashes on a recurring cycle, typically every 4–8 hours. This is a known firmware bug in some SL150 firmware revisions. A full firmware re-flash via the SLC recovery procedure stops the restart loop.
The BCR (barcode reader) fails to read Code 39 barcodes on cartridges in the slots at the extreme ends of the robot’s rotation arc. The BCR optics are worn or slightly misaligned. We clean, re-calibrate or replace the BCR assembly.
A drive expansion bay added to the SL3000 is not being enumerated by the SLC. The SL3000’s drive address mapping in the SLC needs to be updated after hardware changes. This is an on-site service — coordinate via WhatsApp 7702503336.
