Upgraded at your doorstep · 30-min fit
and modules from Crucial, Kingston, Corsair and Samsung — fitted in 30 minutes, full memory diagnostic, lifetime warranty on the module. Doubling your RAM is the single cheapest way to make a 3-year-old laptop feel new again. ₹1,500 onwards.
Eight signs your laptop is starved of RAM — not a CPU or storage issue.
First few tabs fine, then everything crawls. Memory pressure forces page-file swapping to disk.
Windows pop-up asking you to close apps. Classic out-of-RAM signal.
Excel + Photoshop + Zoom together = lockup. RAM saturated, system unresponsive.
Switching apps takes 5–10 seconds. Apps being paged out to disk and back.
HDD activity light constantly on while you work. Excessive page-file usage.
Open Ctrl+Shift+Esc — if memory is consistently above 80%, you need more.
Modern games need 16GB minimum. 8GB triggers texture pop-in, freezes, or won’t launch.
Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut need 16GB+ for HD, 32GB+ for 4K. Below = unusable.
RAM and storage are often confused, but they do completely different jobs. Storage (your SSD or hard drive) is your filing cabinet — it holds files when the laptop is off. RAM (random-access memory) is your desk — it holds the documents and programs you’re actively working with, where the CPU can reach them in nanoseconds. Files have to be loaded from storage into RAM before the CPU can use them. When RAM runs out, Windows or macOS resorts to a fallback called page-file swapping: temporarily writing parts of your active programs back to the SSD to free up RAM, then reading them back later when needed.
Page-file swapping is roughly 50 to 100 times slower than working in RAM directly. This is why a laptop that’s running out of RAM feels broken — every alt-tab waits for a disk read, every Chrome tab opening waits for the previous one’s data to swap out. Adding more RAM doesn’t make the CPU faster; it stops the CPU from sitting idle waiting for the disk. The single highest-impact upgrade you can do on a 3-year-old laptop, in 95% of cases, is doubling its memory.
The architecture of how RAM is installed matters too. Most laptops have two SODIMM slots. With both slots filled by matching modules, the memory controller runs in dual-channel mode — effectively reading from both modules simultaneously, almost doubling memory bandwidth. A single 16 GB module gives you 16 GB total but at single-channel speed; two 8 GB modules give you the same 16 GB at roughly 1.5 to 1.8 times the effective bandwidth, especially noticeable in gaming, video editing, and integrated-graphics workloads. We recommend matched pairs whenever the slot count and budget allow.
DDR4 vs DDR5 isn’t a free choice — it’s set by your motherboard. DDR4 modules go into DDR4 slots; DDR5 modules go into DDR5 slots. Mixing isn’t possible. If you’re on a 2018–2022 laptop, you almost certainly have DDR4. If you bought your laptop in 2023+ with Intel 12th gen or newer, or AMD Ryzen 7000 series, you may have DDR5. We confirm the exact generation and the laptop’s QVL (qualified vendor list — the laptop maker’s tested-compatible RAM modules) before quoting, so the module we sell you is guaranteed to boot.
A few laptops have soldered RAM — the chips are directly fixed to the motherboard and can’t be upgraded. Most ultrabooks built for thinness, every MacBook Air and MacBook Pro from 2016 onwards, and some Surface devices. We’ll tell you upfront if your model has this constraint, before any visit, so you don’t pay a visit charge for a non-upgradable laptop.
30 minutes at your doorstep. Compatibility confirmed before we ever quote.
WhatsApp your model. We confirm slot count, max capacity, DDR generation, ECC vs non-ECC.
Single module vs matched pair, exact GHz spec, brand options — in writing before any work.
Bottom panel opened, RAM seated in SODIMM slots, panel closed, antistatic-handled throughout.
Full memtest run before handover — zero errors confirmed. You see Task Manager show new total.
Includes module + labour + lifetime warranty on RAM. Prices vary slightly by brand (Crucial / Kingston / Corsair).
All RAM modules carry lifetime warranty from the manufacturer (Crucial, Kingston, Corsair). We hand you the module box for direct warranty claims if needed.
What customers ask before booking a memory upgrade in Hyderabad.
Memory upgrades pair with these complementary services — sometimes a slow laptop is more than just RAM.
RAM + SSD upgrade together is the single biggest speed jump for a 4-6 year-old laptop. NVMe Gen 3/4 + 16/32 GB DDR4/DDR5.
If the laptop refuses to POST after a RAM swap, the slot or PMIC may be at fault. Chip-level diagnosis at the same visit.
Hanging at five tabs is often RAM, but can also be SSD, thermal throttling, or driver corruption. Combined diagnosis included.
After a memory upgrade, a fresh Windows install eliminates leftover paging-file fragmentation and unlocks the speed.
Heavy multitasking on more RAM also means more heat. Fan + thermal repaste prevents thermal throttling that masks the RAM gain.
Some BIOS revisions need an update before recognising larger DDR4/DDR5 sticks. We flash the latest BIOS as part of the upgrade.
