  • Why is MacBook repair more expensive than Windows laptops?
    Three reasons. Parts: Apple uses proprietary Retina panels, custom-shaped batteries glued to the chassis, and M-series logic boards with integrated SSDs that cannot be swapped piece-by-piece. A MacBook Pro 14 Retina panel costs roughly 4 to 6 times a standard 14-inch Windows IPS panel. Labour: MacBook chassis use pentalobe screws and adhesive, so jobs take longer.   • What does the 30-day warranty cover?
    If the same fault recurs within 30 calendar days of our repair, we re-fix it free of charge — parts and labour both covered, including return-visit travel.   • What does the 30-day warranty NOT cover?

    No Fix No Fee means you only pay for a repair if we actually complete one. If after diagnosis we determine the repair is not viable (uneconomical, parts not commercially available, board write-off) or you decline the quote, you pay only the ₹149 visit charge.   • Do I have to pay the ₹149 visit charge if the laptop is unrepairable?

  • Does third-party repair void my manufacturer warranty?

    Cracked LCD / LED panels cannot be repaired — the glass and the liquid-crystal layer are bonded.   • How do I know my laptop battery needs replacement?

  • Can you recover data from a soldered MacBook SSD?
    Yes, in many cases. SSDs on M1 / M2 / M3 / M4 / M5 MacBooks are soldered onto the logic board, and on T2 chip Intel MacBooks the storage is also encrypted by the T2 (Apple’s on-board security chip).   • What should I do before sending my laptop?
    Eight steps. Back up your data. Disable BitLocker or FileVault (or share the recovery key on WhatsApp if you want full OS diagnostics). Note down login, BIOS, and key app passwords if pass-by-pass testing is required. Remove SIM card, SD card, USB drives, and any external accessories. Photograph the device from four angles (lid open, closed, base, port side). Save the serial number or IMEI to your phone. Do not include the OEM charger unless the fault is charging-related.   • How long does a typical repair take?
    1 hour at the doorstep for screen, battery, keyboard, charger, RAM / SSD upgrades, basic software. 1 to 2 days at our Secunderabad workshop for chip-level motherboard repair, liquid damage restoration, complex data recovery, MacBook Retina assembly swaps. We give a definite timeline after diagnosis — no “come back next week” surprises.
  • When do I pay?
    After the repair is complete and you have verified the device works. No upfront deposit, no advance for parts. The ₹149 visit charge is the only thing payable regardless of repair outcome. For mail-in repairs, payment is via UPI or Razorpay link after you approve the quote and before we ship the device back.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    UPI (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, BHIM), cash, bank transfer (IMPS, NEFT), and credit / debit cards via Razorpay link or at the store. Most customers pay via UPI. A tax invoice with our GSTIN is provided for every transaction.
  • Do you offer GST invoices for company or corporate billing?

  • Can I cancel after booking?

  • Is the price fixed or can it change after diagnosis?
    Fixed, with one honest caveat. The quote we share after diagnosis is the final figure you pay, end-to-end, including GST. We do not surface hidden charges mid-repair. The one caveat: if during the repair we open the device and discover a secondary fault you did not mention (e.g. you booked a screen replacement and we find water-damage corrosion on the board), we stop work, WhatsApp you photos, and share a revised quote.   • What happens to my old battery or part?
    We collect old lithium-polymer cells, screens, and boards for safe e-waste disposal via authorised handlers in Hyderabad. Free of charge. If you want the old part back (some customers do for AppleCare claims or evidence), just ask before we collect it.

Data & Privacy

What happens to the files on your laptop while we work on it, and how we keep your data safe.

  • Will you access my personal files?
    No — not unless required for the repair (data recovery, OS reinstall, file rescue) and only with your explicit consent. We do not browse, copy, retain, or share your files. Technicians work on the hardware, not the contents. For board-level repair we typically remove the storage drive entirely and return it to you in your hand during the repair window so your data stays in your possession.
  • Should I back up before bringing the laptop?
    Yes — always. Especially if the storage drive will be touched (SSD upgrade, OS reinstall, motherboard work). We are careful, but data is your responsibility outside an active data-recovery service.   • What if I cannot back up because the laptop will not turn on?
    In that case, our first priority is data preservation. We attempt to recover files before any repair that risks the drive (e.g. before a motherboard reflow, before an OS reinstall). You are informed at every step. The storage drive in most laptops is independent of the rest of the electronics, so even when the board is fried, your files are usually intact.
  • Can you recover data from a BitLocker or FileVault encrypted drive?
    Only if you have the recovery key or password. Encryption is designed to make data unrecoverable without the key — we can extract the encrypted data, but decrypting it requires the key. If you have a Microsoft account linked, BitLocker keys are usually backed up to your account; we can guide you through retrieving them. Without the key, recovery is not possible. We tell you upfront.
  • Will replacing the screen, battery, or keyboard affect my data?
    No — screen, battery, keyboard, charger, and hinge replacements are hardware-only swaps. The storage drive is not touched. Your files, OS, and applications remain exactly as they were. Only OS reinstall, motherboard replacement, or SSD upgrade jobs involve the drive, and in those cases we always discuss data preservation before starting.

  • What is included in unlimited servicing?
