After 1 Lakh+ repairs since 2007, we know exactly how every LG model fails — LG Gram chassis dent, 80Wh battery, hinge crack, Gram Pro OLED, Thunderbolt 4 board. Here is what breaks most often on LG laptops — and what we do about it.
LG Gram's magnesium-lithium alloy achieves MIL-STD-810G certification but the thin walls dent on sharp corner-impact. We assess dent severity, repair or replace the affected panel, and ensure the chassis rigidity is restored — critical for the lid hinge area.
LG Gram 14/16/17 uses an extended 80Wh battery in a dual-cell configuration — one cell-pair fails before the other, causing sudden shutdowns at 30–50% reported charge. We replace both cell-pairs together (EAC63398901, LG battery PN variants). ₹4,500 – ₹9,500.
Lightweight clamshell hinge on Gram 14 / 16 / 17 develops creaking and then fractures at the chassis cutout after 3–4 years. Gram 2-in-1 16T90S 360-degree hinge cracks earlier. We replace the hinge + rear panel assembly.
Gram Pro 16 / 17 OLED panels (3K 120Hz) are premium-priced. We diagnose the T-CON ribbon first (₹0 if loose). Panel replacement quoted per model — confirm panel part via WhatsApp before dispatch.
LG Gram Thunderbolt 4 charging board failure — laptop shows "plugged in, not charging" with the 65W GaN charger. Charging-board replacement — no full motherboard needed in most cases. ₹2,500 – ₹5,500.
Gram Pro 16 / 17 dual-fan configuration runs warm under sustained workloads. We repaste with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, clean the dual-fan assembly. Drops temps 10–15°C.
LG Gram 16 / 17's large trackpad surface can trigger unintended clicks from palm contact. We update the precision trackpad firmware, recalibrate palm-rejection zones, or replace the trackpad module if the hardware issue persists.
Liquid on the ultra-thin Gram chassis can corrode quickly. Switch off, unplug, WhatsApp us. Free pickup, ultrasonic clean, component repair, data recovery.
