Hairline crack expanding into a web pattern, or visible chunks missing. The LCD substrate has failed. Continued use risks the cracks reaching the eDP traces and damaging the motherboard. Schedule the swap today.
Persistent lines that don’t go away on reboot mean the LCD layer is failing. Sometimes wiggling the lid changes the pattern, which points to a loose eDP cable instead. We test the cable first; if that’s the fault, ₹500-₹1,200 instead of a full panel swap.
