After 1 Lakh+ repairs since 2007, we know exactly how every Microsoft Surface model fails — Surface Connect port wear, Type Cover failure, PixelSense screen, Alcantara staining, soldered SSD recovery. Here is what breaks most often on Microsoft Surface laptops — and what we do about it.
Microsoft's proprietary magnetic Surface Connect charging port develops intermittent contact after daily plug-unplug cycles. We clean, re-pin, or replace the Surface Connect board — no need for a full motherboard replacement in most cases.
Surface Pro Type Cover stops pairing via Bluetooth or loses keyboard-bridge IR connection. We diagnose the pogo-pin connector on the Type Cover port and repair or replace the port assembly.
Cracked glass or delaminated digitizer on Surface Pro / Surface Laptop. Microsoft uses bonded glass+LCD assemblies — we replace as a unit. PixelSense and PixelSense Flow displays quoted per model.
Most Surface models have soldered SSD — standard recovery tools won't work. We perform chip-level NAND flash recovery or board-level transfer to a donor device for data extraction. No data, no fee.
Surface Laptop Studio 1 / 2 RTX 3050 Ti / 4060 runs hot in creator workflows. We disassemble the Dynamic Woven Hinge assembly, repaste with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. Drops temps 10–15°C.
Alcantara-covered Surface Laptop models stain easily and show palm-rest wear after 2–3 years. We can deep-clean the fabric or advise on cover replacement to restore the premium look.
DYNM02, G3HTA020H, DYNM04 — common Surface Laptop / Pro / Book batteries. Compatibility must be confirmed for OEM-spec replacements. ₹5,500 – ₹13,000 depending on model. Note: Surface battery replacement requires precision disassembly.
Liquid on a Surface is critical given the sealed chassis. Switch off, unplug, WhatsApp us immediately. Workshop intake, ultrasonic clean, component repair, full data-recovery attempt.
Surface Studio 2 (creator all-in-one desktop). Ship-to-workshop diagnosis or workshop intake — same engineers, same timing confirmed after assessment response.
We've repaired laptops shipped from across Andhra Pradesh. Same 30-day warranty, same fair price, same No Fix No Fee promise — regardless of where in Visakhapatnam you ship from.
Choose insured shipping. Pack your Microsoft securely — bubble wrap + rigid box. Keep a photo of the serial number before dispatch.
From Visakhapatnam to our Secunderabad workshop — diagnosed, repaired with quality-tested parts, and returned insured to your Visakhapatnam address.
If your Microsoft can't be repaired or the quote doesn't suit you, we courier it back at no charge. 30-day warranty on all repairs.
Send the serial number, exact Surface model and Windows recovery state. For Surface Laptop, Surface Pro and Surface Book, compatibility can depend on Surface Connect or USB-C charging, sealed-device access, and detachable display configuration; a family name alone is not enough to select a part.
Back up accessible data, photograph the condition, remove loose accessories, and ask the chosen tracked carrier about laptop and battery acceptance from your postcode.
Dispatch only after LRW confirms that workshop assessment is appropriate and provides the verified Secunderabad address. LRW does not claim a Visakhapatnam workshop, local technician, or local parts stock.
After arrival, LRW inspects the device and shares findings, compatible part options, sourcing time, charges, and an estimated workshop schedule. Work begins after approval.
Share the serial number, exact Surface model and Windows recovery state and the symptoms before dispatch. If LRW accepts the device for inspection, confirm the verified Secunderabad destination, pack it securely, and choose a trackable service that accepts the device. Transit and repair timing are estimated separately after assessment.
