Contact LRW first · Workshop assessment if needed · Quote before repair
When a Honor won’t respond to the power button, it’s usually the switch itself, the ribbon flex, or a stuck reset trace — not the motherboard. We diagnose at the button-side first to save you the deeper repair.
If workshop assessment is needed, LRW will share intake details for tracked shipment to the verified Secunderabad workshop. Quote, timing, part availability and courier terms are confirmed after assessment and approval. Read full ship guide →

Namaskaram. Warangal is Telangana's second-largest city, home to nearly 800,000 people and a significant educational and industrial hub. NIT Warangal, Kakatiya University, and several regional engineering colleges give the city one of Telangana's densest student laptop populations outside Hyderabad. The city's handloom and weaving industry is increasingly computerised at the management level, and a growing government administrative workforce adds to device demand. NIT students know the particular frustration of a laptop failing a week before a project review — and the local repair shop not being able to handle chip-level work. For motherboard repairs, screen replacements on premium devices, or data recovery, Laptop Repair World in Secunderabad is the quality benchmark. Courier your device or visit our workshop at MG Road, Secunderabad. Call +91 7702503336.
Warangal shares Telangana's interior climate: hot summers above 42 degrees, a monsoon from June to October, and a dry winter. The city's industrial and agricultural surroundings mean fine particulate is airborne for most of the year, and devices used in homes near the outer zones accumulate internal dust quickly. Power quality in Warangal, while improved, still has more fluctuation than Hyderabad, and surge-related charging circuit damage is a recurring repair issue. Extended power cuts during summer force users to rely more heavily on battery, accelerating degradation over time.
Honor MagicBook laptops in Warangal reached the budget-AMD segment at Kakatiya University and the Hanamkonda-area engineering colleges — students who needed Ryzen performance under ₹50,000 and chose Honor over Lenovo for the extra storage in the base configuration. Three fault patterns recur in Warangal Honor intake: MagicBook 14 keyboard key separation under sustained daily typing; MagicBook Pro thermal throttle during extended multi-app workloads; and MagicBook screen backlight flickering from a loosened ribbon cable. Local conditions contribute to wear — warangal shares telangana's interior climate: hot summers above 42 degrees, a monsoon from june to october, and a dry winter. Honor MagicBook users report the power button becoming sticky or unresponsive, particularly on the MagicBook 14 where the power key is flush with the top row of the keyboard and uses the same key mechanism as the function row. The symptom most commonly presents as the button requiring firm pressure or as the laptop going to sleep the moment it wakes, suggesting a stuck-key register on the EC. We disassemble the keyboard deck, test the power-button switch continuity, and clean the contact area under the keycap. On Honor MagicBook models where the power button is separate from the keyboard row and integrates a fingerprint sensor, a sensor firmware desync can present as a non-functional power button; we resolve this through EC register reset and fingerprint re-enrollment. If the button dome itself is collapsed, we source a replacement key assembly. Pricing for Honor power-button repair runs Rs 600 to Rs 2,200. The repair is typically Assessment-led.
