Why Lenovo Yoga audio crackles and glitches on Windows 11
Short answer: The Lenovo Yoga uses a Realtek HD Audio codec — the chip that converts digital audio to the analogue signal your speakers play. Lenovo installs a custom-tuned version of the Realtek driver alongside Dolby Audio software for enhanced sound. When Windows Update replaces the Lenovo-specific driver with a generic Realtek package, the Dolby layer loses its tuning parameters and conflicts with the audio pipeline, causing crackling, dropouts, and distortion. This driver version mismatch is the cause of the majority of Lenovo Yoga audio complaints in India.
How to fix Realtek audio glitches on Lenovo Yoga
Step 1: Uninstall the generic Realtek driver and install Lenovo's version
