OpenCore (the open-source bootloader that the Hackintosh community maintains) has partial support for Intel Core Ultra 2 (Arrow Lake) in its current builds. The fundamental challenge is Arrow Lake's Intel Thread Director 2.0 (ITD2) — a hardware mechanism that dynamically routes tasks between P-cores (Performance cores, optimised for single-threaded tasks) and E-cores (Efficiency cores, for background tasks) at the hardware level. macOS Sequoia's scheduler does not natively understand ITD2 because Apple never shipped Arrow Lake hardware. OpenCore kernel patches partially compensate, but power states, CPU frequency scaling, and thermal management remain imperfect.
