Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Touchpad Not Working Fix in Hyderabad

A completely unresponsive trackpad on the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 is diagnosed differently from an erratic one. Non-detection in Device Manager points to a hardware fault (I2C ribbon cable open-circuit or controller IC dead). The ribbon cable runs from the trackpad PCB under the palmrest and through a ZIF connector to the mainboard — it fractures at the ZIF end from repeated palmrest removal during prior repairs. A software cause: Samsung Settings driver corruption after an OS update that maps the trackpad to a disabled HID device; device is visible but reports no input. Third: accidental Fn+F7 (trackpad disable shortcut on some models) — we check this first.

Fn+F7 trackpad shortcut is checked first (30-second fix). Samsung Settings driver is reinstalled from OEM source to rule out software. If hardware: ZIF ribbon is inspected and replaced where fractured. Controller IC replacement is done under microscope. Palm-rejection and gesture calibration is verified in Samsung Settings settings post-repair.
